North Central Planning Council is opening up applications for the Region III North Dakota Main Street Program. Projects will assist the Governor’s Main Street Initiative. The program will focus on long-term community development within cities downtown areas. This funding would promote livable communities, address unmet community development needs and promote activities that enhance local economic development efforts. Assistance is available to non-entitlement cities and incorporated cities.
All projects must have City (or County) sponsorship, it is recommended that you contact your city or city economic development office to determine their participation in the program.
Applications for private businesses and non-profits are accepted any time.
Applications for cities and counties are through the Region III allocation. The application dates are as follows:

- April 1, 2020 - Pre-application available online and by request.
- June 19, 2020 - Submission deadline for Pre-applications (original and one copy must be postmarked on or before the deadline date).
- August 20, 2020 – Pre-Applications will be reviewed, scored and recommended funding amounts determined.
